Why stainless steel? Well not only is it incredibly durable and hard-wearing, it is, also very cost effective and it is also a non reactive metal, which means that most people even those usually sensitive to metal jewellery can wear it.
The plated versions are made by Physical Vapour Deposition, it is a way of adding a highly durable 18ct rose or yellow gold coating to stainless steel, and other metal products. It is more durable and much longer lasting than traditional gold electroplating.
